Real-Time Radiation Area Monitoring
This Area Monitor is designed as an ALARA tool for long-term use in high-radiation areas, reducing entries to save time and dose. Developed to meet the needs of utilities, it monitors dose rates in steam-affected high-radiation areas for a full two-year fuel cycle using battery power. The new SD version of the RDS-32 can transmit data twice a minute for two years at dose rates up to 0.01 Sv/hr on battery power (without alarms).
